You can use almost any media you wish that you feel comfortable with to create your perspective drawing.
With perspective drawing you can also use a Drawing Board or for the Fine Artist using a good pencil. Once you see what is involve with the course you will be able to see just what is needed to do the work.
To learn perspective drawing is a technical skill that has to be learned before you can really understand perspective drawing, so to fully understand perspective I am afraid straight lines should be used. But there are many skilled artist who knows what a good freehand line can be, and a good artist can easily understand their work. So if you are an artist do it freehand, the course is also for artists so start using your skills here!
